Cosponsored by Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Carnegie Council, OneWorld.net, Mercy Corps, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Foreign Policy.

How are you using the Internet to promote your organization and increase public awareness about global issues? Please join us for a workshop on how to improve communications strategies, increase audience engagement, and maximize your online resources. The workshop will begin with a brown bag lunch at 12:00 pm, followed by short presentations and discussions lead by Foreign Policy, OneWorld, Mercy Corps, and Carnegie Council.

The event will explore website management and marketing tools such as:

  • Online Advertising: Pros and cons
  • Google Adwords Grants: Benefits and tips
  • Social Networking Sites: Inform and interact
  • Email lists and list sharing: Pros and cons of collaboration
  • Creating a business plan and assessing ROI
  • Diversifying fundraising strategies
