The Practical Idealism Project: Stories from the Field

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 06:00 PM to 07:30 PM

cover image, Practical Idealists

Description:

The Practical Idealism Project explored the ways that social change professionals working in international development, conflict resolution, socially responsible business, activism, law, the arts, etc. were able to create a space that most responded to their values, passions, and skills.

Alissa Wilson traveled the country interviewing people about their practical idealism and will share her experiences, which were the basis of the book Practical Idealists: Changing the World and Getting Paid. This interactive talk will feature lessons learned from the interviews as well as suggestions on how to use these lessons to mentor others.

Christine Bader will moderate.

THIS CARNEGIE NEW LEADERS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY.

SEATING IS LIMITED. PLEASE RVSP TO gpievents@cceia.org
