Only one disease has ever been eradicated worldwide. In his recent book, Smallpox—The Death of a Disease: The Inside Story of Eradicating a Worldwide Killer, D. A. Henderson reveals how a small but fiercely dedicated team under his direction succeeded in eliminating a disease which had killed over half a billion people in the preceding 100 years.
The talk will begin at 6:30 PM following a wine reception.
