| Wednesday, July 11, 2007 03:00 PM

Description:
Dr. Federico Macaranas of the Asian Institute of Management will discuss how poor nations cope with the challenges of globalization using their comparative advantage in human resources to serve the needs of the developed industrial world. He uses the exodus of Philippine health professionals as a case study, given the global shortage in human health professionals to care for the aging Western population while health systems in the developing world are at risk.
