Financing the Global Climate Change Response

Suggestions for a Climate Change Fund

This South Centre Analytical Note stresses that the provision of financing from developed countries to developing countries is required under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. But such financing has not yet been provided. Parties to the Convention could directly operate the Convention's financial mechanism by setting up a Climate Change Fund as part of the global community's response to climate change.
