Unchained Melody: Economic Performance After the Asian Financial Crisis

Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand have not recouped their losses from the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Unless their economic performance is better than the recent trends, another economic miracle story is needed to reclaim past economic standings. Unless economic policies move in a positive direction – taking up the useful strategies in the past but also putting in new components for the current challenges – economic progress is limited and punctuated by crises.Download: Unchained Melody: Economic Performance After the Asian Financial Crisis (PDF, 134.50 K)
