Guatemalan Bicycle Machines Relieve Manual Labor
Maya Pedal | February 23, 2012
The innovative organization Maya Pedal Guatemala transforms donated bicycles into a range of labor-saving machines that would otherwise require electricity or manual labor. Some of their mechanical mashups include blenders, threshers, shellers, and water pumps. What's more, Maya Pedal generously posts its designs free online so that tinkerers around the world can experiment with these sustainable, local solutions. Check out the video above for a closer look at their work.
