The North-South Institute

Description The North-South Institute is dedicated to eradicating global poverty and enhancing social justice through research which promotes international cooperation, democratic governance, and conflict prevention.

It is Canada’s first independent, non-governmental and non-partisan research institute focused on international development.

The NSI provides research and analysis on foreign policy and international development issues for policy-makers, educators, business, the media and the general public. For more than 25 years NSI has built a reputation for sound, credible analysis of pressing issues related to global development.

The Institute’s research results, publications, and seminars, help foster understanding, discussion and debate about the challenges facing Canadians and the citizens of the developing world.
