Conectiv Energy

Description Conectiv Energy is a competitive wholesale energy company that manages more than 6,000 MW of generation, including a fleet of generating stations in five mid-Atlantic states. To reduce market risk, Conectiv is active in the merchant energy business and operates a cross-commodity trading floor with an emphasis on power, natural gas, coal, oil, renewables, and emissions. By both generating power and participating in the merchant energy business, Conectiv has flexibility to optimize generation, switch fuels as need be, minimize congestion, immediately take advantage of market opportunities, and better plan power plant construction.
