Talloires Network

Description

The Talloires Network is a collective of individuals and institutions committed to promoting the civic roles and social responsibilities of higher education. It was launched at the Talloires Conference 2005, convened by Tufts University President Lawrence S. Bacow at the Tufts European Center in Talloires, France, September 15-17, 2005.

The Talloires Network aims to catalyze and support a worldwide movement of individuals and institutions dedicated to promoting the civic roles and social responsibilities of higher education. It seeks to foster exchange of best practices and encourage collective action. The Talloires Network is in the process of developing a common Global Project to elevate literacy and education around the world. Universities on all continents will collaborate on this initiative, working to maximize their individual and collective impacts.
