IN MEMORIAM
We at Global Policy Innovations are saddened by the loss of Oxford University development economist Sanjaya Lall. Professor Lall was a key contributor to the conversation at our Help Wanted event. In the words of colleague Larry Westphal (Swarthmore College, Department of Economics), "Lall became the pre-eminent advocate of a holistic approach to industrial development. He recommended a coherent strategy aimed at bringing the public and private sectors together to exploit the advantages of globalisation" (Financial Times, Obituary, June 29, 2005). His iconoclastic thinking will be missed.
