Edsel L. Beja Jr. is a professor at Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. He works in the areas of development, macroeconomics, and political economy. He is also a specialist on Asian economics. Recent works have focused on capital, trade, and labor flows, national accounts, and balance of payments. Edsel holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
