Armen V. Papazian, a Ph.D. graduate of Cambridge University, England, is currently an Assistant Professor in financial economics at the American University in Dubai, UAE. He has previously taught at the University of Cambridge, and the Lebanese American University. His research interests include financial economics, development economics, financial systems, money, and wealth creation.

His first Ph.D. paper was short-listed among the top 6 finalists at the ECGI Clinical Papers Competition in Finance, co-sponsored by the Journal of Financial Economics and the Swedish Centre for Business and Policy Studies. He has a number of working papers under review, and has recently published a number of professional articles on the Lebanese Lira.

Armen V. Papazian is currently working on a new research project that looks at the political economy of money printing. His theoretical framework aims at introducing imagination as a fundamental resource and tool in economics.
