Jinkang Zhang is a Chinese economist from Yunnan Province. Her areas of specialization include: development economics, international trade, and foreign investment, and she has an interest in Western China and Southeast Asian economies. Her current position is Lecturer of Economics at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, China.

Jinkang received her Master's in Economics from the School of Economics at Yunnan University in 1998. She was a visiting study fellow at Queen Elizabeth House, Oxford, from October 2002 to January 2004. She was selected as participant in the Cambridge Advanced Programme On Rethinking Development Economics in July 2004.

In addition to teaching duties at her university, Jinkang has also served as a local consultant for a UNIDO project on industrial policy geared toward reducing the development gap of China's western region, as well as for an Asian Development Bank project on the Kunming-Haiphong Transport Corridor.
