Alex Cobham manages the policy team at Christian Aid, a leading international grant-making development NGO in the United Kingdom. He was previously Supernumerary Fellow in Economics at St. Anne's, Oxford, and Director of the Economy Section at the Oxford Council on Good Governance. He worked and studied in Oxford from 1999 to 2007, and in Edinburgh and Cardiff before that. He has carried out research and consultancy work for the European Commission, the U.K. Department for International Development, Oxfam and the Bretton Woods Project, and Oxford Analytica. He was coordinator of the Task Force on Capital Market Liberalization at the Initiative for Policy Dialogue led by Joseph Stiglitz.
