Backed by leading banks, funds, reinsurers, and microfinance investors, LeapFrog's $135 million fund is the largest dedicated investor in microinsurance worldwide. The team's investment strategy has been hailed by the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Fast Company, and many global leaders as opening up a new frontier for microfinance and impact investment.

Andy is a serial entrepreneur and investor in emerging markets. He is a former managing director of Ashoka, which has financed and connected more than 2,500 social entrepreneurs in 70 countries. He was a program director at the Carnegie Council in 2003–2004. According to the Economist Innovation Summit, "By pioneering a new asset class and raising $100 million for it amid the global financial crisis, Mr. Kuper has sought to change the way we invest as individuals, institutions, and societies." According to TEDx, "Andy's profit-with-purpose approach has made him a unique leader and innovator in the movement to deliver life-changing financial services to the world's poor... closing the gap between money and meaning."
