Gustavo Lugones is a researcher of the Centro REDES of Argentina (Center associated to the CONICET) and an active member of RICYT (Iberoamerican Network on Science and Technology Indicators). His experience as a professor includes graduate and post-graduate courses in UBA, UNQ, UNGS, ULP, Di Tella (Argentina), Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad de Valladolid (Spain). His professional activity is related with the measurement and the analysis of innovation processes and its implications for competitiveness, international trade and economic and social development. Gustavo Lugones is, also, Coordinator of the Master in Administration of Science, Technology and Innovation (IDES/UNGS/REDES, Argentina). He has published numerous papers and several books, featuring the Bogota Manual (Guidelines for Normalization of Indicators of Technological Innovation in Latin America) in collaboration with H. Jaramillo and M. Salazar, Apertura e Innovación en la Argentina. Para desconcertar a Vernon, Schumpeter y Freeman, in collaboration with R. Bisang and G. Yoguel, and Enfoques y Metodologías Alternativas para la Medición de las Capacidades Innovativas, in collaboration with F. Porta.
