Watu Wamae holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master's on Economic Policies, Macroeconomics and Development from the Université de la Méditerranée Aix-Marseille II. She is currently a profession-development awardee at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Watu has presented her work at diverse fora, and has been intern and research assistant for regional and international organizations like WTO, The European Commission, and COMESA. Her research interests are dynamics of growth & catching-up, innovation systems, technology policy, and international trade.
