Jairo Abud
Jairo Abud obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 1995. He was a Fulbright Guest Scholar at the University of California, San Diego in 1993/1994, where he developed research on the political and economic reforms implemented in Mexico during the Salinas government. He also participated in the Cambridge Advanced Programme on Rethinking Development Economics in 2002. He has been a Professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) since 1996, where he teaches Microeconomics and Brazilian Economy. He is also Professor at Zumbi dos Palmares, Business Administration School which favors Affirmative Action and serves mainly the Afro-Brazilian community.
