Adam Roberts


Adam Roberts
Adam Roberts is president of the British Academy and Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for International Studies in Oxford University's Department of Politics and International Relations. He is also an Emeritus Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford.

Previously, Roberts was Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at Oxford University. He has published articles in numerous journals, including British Yearbook of International Law, International Affairs, International Security, Review of International Studies, and Survival.

Roberts is the author of several books, including Nations in Arms: The Theory and Practice of Territorial Defence (Macmillan, 1986) and Civil Resistance and Power Politics: The Experience of Non-violent Action from Gandhi to the Present (Oxford University Press, Oxford, 2009).
