Alan Fox
Alan Fox is a Professor of Asian and Comparative Philosophy and Religion in the Philosophy Department and Director of the Honors Program at the University of Delaware. He earned his Ph.D. in religion from Temple University in 1988, specializing in Asian and Comparative Philosophy, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Taiwan in 1986-87. He came to the University of Delaware in 1990. He received the University's Excellence in Teaching Award in 1995 and 2006, and the College of Arts and Sciences' Outstanding Teacher Award in 1999. In 2006 he was named Delaware Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. His research is currently focused on Philosophical Daoism.
