Annabel Short

Since 2003 Annabel Short has worked at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, an international non-profit organization, where she is now Head of Program. Before joining the Resource Centre Annabel was a specialist in corporate social & environmental reporting with the consultancy Context. She has also worked as a freelance journalist, writing for magazines such as Geographical, Resurgence, and Ethical Corporation, and wrote "Go Make A Difference!" a book of environmental tips published by The Ecologist. In 1999 Annabel lived in Lima, Peru, working with Amnesty International and Reuters.
Annabel has an MSc in Development Studies from University of London, for which her thesis examined the human rights impacts of oil extraction projects in Arauca, Colombia. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodical Journalism from City University, London; MA Joint Honours in Spanish and French from Edinburgh University; and a certificate in International Human Rights Law and Practice from London School of Economics. Annabel is fluent in Spanish and French.
