Events Coordinator and Policy Researcher

Student Movement for Real Change
Elizabeth Arkell is currently Events Coordinator and Policy Researcher at Student Movement for Real Change (SMRC). In the fall of 2008 she will enter her junior year at Claremont McKenna College where she is a dual international relations and literature major. Arkell first got involved with SMRC in the summer of 2007 when she participated in SMRC's Global Development Internship program in rural South Africa. She authored the project operations package for SMRC's national Joining Hands Pen-Pal project and has studied in Honduras and will work in Ecuador this fall. While there, she will be researching health and development issues. She is a recipient of the Kravis Leadership Institute's Summer Fellowship to work in public service.
