Executive Officer, Network for Sustainable Financial Markets
Cary Krosinsky is executive officer of the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets. He is lead editor, along with NSFM participants Nick Robins and Stephen Viederman, of Evolutions in Sustainable Investing (Wiley, 2012), a recent book on the positive strands of socially responsible investing, including 15 case studies and regional perspectives from thought leaders Dan Esty, Paul Hawken, Rory Sullivan, Roger Urwin, and others.
Cary is also coeditor of a previous book on this subject: Sustainable Investing: The Art of Long-Term Performance, also with Nick Robins (Earthscan, 2008).
Until October 2012, Cary was senior vice president and member of the management team for Trucost, which has become the recognized global leader in corporate environmental analysis including advising the respected Newsweek Green Rankings.
He also teaches sustainability and investing at Columbia University's Earth Institute, and an MBA course on the same subject at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is a frequent speaker on the intersection of sustainability and ownership.
He was a member of the Expert Group that helped create the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment.
