Christina Madden is an independent consultant specializing in global security, sustainable development, and foreign investment. She has worked with a number of nonprofits, United Nations agencies, and private firms, including GMI, a corporate governance ratings agency, and the Whitaker Group, a consultancy promoting trade and foreign investment in sub-Saharan Africa.
She joined Carnegie Council as a contributor in July 2007. She currently runs the New York chapter of Women In International Security and is a member of the board of directors of JeevanKala, a fair trade importer, and its parent, Himalayan Healthcare, a nonprofit supporting health, education, and income-generation programs in rural Nepal.
