Emily Polk

Senior Editor

CSRwire
Emily Polk worked and lived for nearly ten years around the world as a human rights–focused writer and editor before being hired as a senior editor at CSRwire a little over a year ago to manage and grow their newly launched Web 2.0 initiative. CSRwire has long been a leading global source of corporate social responsibility news and information.

By incorporating Web 2.0 technologies in an interactive forum that allows CSRwire visitors to upload their videos, podcast, research, and commentary (all of which can be freely viewed and commented on in an open-access forum), the wire has put their news releases in greater context, and increased transparency and accountability among organizations. Emily is responsible for managing all of the content on this section of CSRwire, including the largest archived library of corporate social responsibility research, daily news, activism, opinions, public policy briefs, and commentary by the world's leading CSR thought leaders and experts.

Her own writing and radio documentaries have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, the Boston Globe, NPR, AlterNet, the Indian Express, Central America Weekly, the Ghanaian Chronicle, and Whole Earth Magazine, among others.
