Jacqueline Novogratz is the founder and CEO of Acumen, a nonprofit venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve the problems of global poverty. Acumen's investments focus on delivering affordable, critical goods and services through innovative, market-oriented approaches.
Novogratz began her career in international banking with Chase Manhattan Bank. She then went on to found and direct The Philanthropy Workshop and The Next Generation Leadership programs at the Rockefeller Foundation, and co-found Duterimbere, a microfinance institution in Rwanda.
She currently holds board positions at Sonen Capital, the Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Initiative, the Aspen Institute, and IDEO.org. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council for Social Innovation.
