Jonathan Cristol

Prior to his employment at Bard in 2003, Cristol served as an analyst of Middle Eastern politics for the Intellibridge Corporation and taught at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
Cristol is the recipient of numerous awards including a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship; a Mellon Grant for Curricular Development; an Overseas Research Scholarship; and a Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the University of Bristol (UK). He speaks frequently on issues relating to diplomatic recognition, international relations theory, and the Middle East. Cristol holds degrees from Bard College (B.A. Political Studies) and Yale University (M.A. International Relations). He is a doctoral candidate in politics at the University of Bristol.
