Lisa Palmer is an award-winning writer and editor specializing in business, environmental, and lifestyle journalism.

Since becoming a freelance writer ten years ago, Palmer has written on everything from biotechnology and dramatic medical narratives to green tech and sustainable agri-business for leading magazines and newspapers. Recent projects include a freelance stint as a writer and editor for the National Academy of Sciences, and producing a reporting guide for journalists at the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism.

Palmer is a graduate of Boston University and earned her master's degree at Simmons College in Boston. Prior to her career as a writer, she was a teacher and a research analyst.

Palmer is a professional member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Society of Environmental Journalists, the National Association of Science Writers, and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
