Lu Chen

GPI Summer Intern

Lu Chen is from Beijing, China. After receiving Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics and International Studies at Peking University, she is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in International Relations at New York University. Her study has been mainly focusing on international economic and political institutions and international organizations, because she believes that non-state actors are playing an increasingly important role in the globalization process. During her undergraduate years, she interned at Chinese National Commission for UNESCO and the China Scholarship Council to work on promoting educational cooperation and communication amongst countries. For the summer of 2009, she joins the GPI Global Internship hoping to bring a new viewpoint on the U.S.-China relationship and other issues.
