Michael Ignatieff

Michael Ignatieff is a Canadian author, academic, and former politician.

In 2011, Ignatieff became a senior resident with the University of Toronto's Massey College, where he teaches courses in law and political science for the Munk School of Global Affairs, the School of Public Policy and Governance, and the Faculty of Law.

Known for his work as a historian, Ignatieff has also held senior academic posts at the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and Harvard University.

Ignatieff is one of the most influential voices in the global debate on human rights, as well as the distinguished author of an acclaimed biography of British academic Isaiah Berlin and such award-winning works as Blood and Belonging and The Rights Revolution.
