Sean Martin will graduate from the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations in May 2010 with an M.A. in diplomacy and international relations. His specialties include foreign policy and international economic development. His master's research project is entitled, "Who Recognizes Whom? States Gaining Independence from 1990 to 2008."

Sean is the deputy editor-in-chief for The Whitehead Journal of Diplomacy and International Relations—the official semiannual publication of the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations. He also works as a graduate assistant in the Office of International Programs at Seton Hall University. His research interest includes state recognition practices, economic development, and international finance.
