Yifan Xu

Yifan Xu is originally from China and joined the GPI Global Internship for summer 2010. She is a first-year graduate student at Yale University where she is pursuing an M.A. in international relations, with a concentration in development.

Ms. Xu holds a B.A. in communication from Fudan University (Shanghai) and has also attended the Fudan School of Journalism. In 2008, she was selected by Fudan University for an exchange program with the University of California where she was awarded Provost's Honors for three consecutive quarters. She completed a summer internship with the Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, D.C. in 2008, assisting development specialists in editing project plans to improve monitoring and evaluation.

She is currently engaged in a project that promotes biogas application in rural China through an innovative financing mechanism.
